Borrowing and Requesting: Community Borrowers and Visitors

On this page:

What do we offer?

We offer a range of services to the wider public (18+), alumni, retired staff and students from other universities. This includes borrowing schemes, access to some of our e-resources via walk-in access, access to our spaces and access to guest Wi-Fi.

    Reference-only access

You can visit either of our campus libraries during our opening hours for reference only access to our collections and spaces.

    Access to Wi-Fi

If you need Wi-Fi access while visiting, you can use your own device to connect to our Guest Wi-Fi. The Eduroam network is also available to visitors from other universities which use this network. Visit the IT Helpdesk for more information.

Access to online resources (Walk-in Access)

Some of our electronic resources are available to members of the public for educational purposes. This is called Walk-in Access and is only available on specific PCs and on campus. You must register each day to obtain access. If you need this, please call in to either Learning Centre to complete a registration form on each day that you need access. You can see a list e-resources available to you in the
    Databases A-Z
