Learning Centres

We have a mix of single and group study spaces at Cyncoed and Llandaff Learning Centres to suit different studying styles and preferences.

Cyncoed Bookable Study Rooms

There are five study rooms available in the Learning Centre at Cyncoed. These are all located on the 1st floor with connected displays available in rooms 1, 2, and 5.

Llandaff Bookable Study Rooms

There are four study rooms available in the Learning Centre at Llandaff.
T1.01a and T1.01b are located in the IT Suite on the first floor and equipped with 2 PCs.
L1.04a is on the 1st floor in the Library and is aimed for quieter work.
L0.06 is located on the ground floor of the Library.
L1.04a and L0.06 have a wall mounted screen.

How to Book

Book a study room through Cardiff Met's Connect2 system.
The system allows you to check room availability and manage your upcoming booking. To access the system, navigate to Connect2 and sign in with your student ID and password.
Your booking will be confirmed via email.

Booking Rules

The study rooms can be booked by students Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.

You can make 2 x 2-hour bookings per day.

You are allowed to renew bookings up to 15 minutes before the end of the booking if the room isn't booked by another person.

Bookings are available up to 4 weeks in advance.

These rooms are open and can be used by anyone if they are not booked. However, we recommend booking beforehand to guarantee your use of the room.

Please remember to cancel your booking if you no longer need the room.  Should you arrive 30 minutes later than your reservation start time, we reserve the right to release the room to other students.
