Downloading ebooks for offline access

EBSCO - Chapter download

If you know the chapter or section you want to access offline, it is recommended you download the chapter as a PDF. Chapter download does not require third party software and does not expire so you can keep the PDF indefinitely.

Search for the book you want to download a section of and click on Access options to choose one of the full text links to open the book:

Find the chapter you want to download from the Table of Contents on the right hand side of the screen and click on the download icon:

Here you can see information about the number of pages you are allowed to download from the book. Select the pages you want to save and click Download:

The section will then open as a PDF, which you can save and keep indefinitely.

EBSCO - Full book download

Before downloading a full book on EBSCO, ensure you have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your device.

A My EBSCOhost personal account is needed to download full EBSCO eBooks. To create an EBSCO account, click on MyEBSCO at the top of the page and Create an account:

Once you've created an account, click on Sign in to MyEBSCO and log in to your account.

Go to the book you want to download on EBSCO eBook Collection, click on the Tools (three dots) menu next to the title and select Download:

Select Full eBook, specify how many days you want to borrow the book for, select a format (PDF or EPUB) and click on Download:

The book will then download and will be saved in to your Adobe Digital Editions library.
